About Us

The Metro Committee hope our Athletes & their families have settled into the club and are enjoying the sport of athletics.

 

All members of the Metro Committee are parents who have children participating in Athletics and members of the committee volunteer/contribute an endless amount of time throughout the whole of the year.

 

· Committee meeting’s once a month all year round

· Fundraising year round

· Administrative - Registration record keeping, recording books, point scoring, uniform & jacket ordering, keeping tally of personal bests, training/Team Manager’s, newsletters and many other tasks.

As you would appreciate the countless hours and amount of effort the committee puts into the running of the club on a weekly basis is outstanding.

 

In saying the above, I would like to ask families to please be patient on competition days! After all, we are just volunteering our time to the club “YOUR CLUB” and we are trying our best.

 

To our athletes, what a great start to the season! With so many of our athletes already achieving personal bests and club records our season is already geared up to be an outstanding one.
