Metro LIttLE ATHLETICS CLUB

History

For those who are not aware of Metro’s history, the Metro Little Athletes Club was created in 2004 and commenced their very first competition as a club in the 2004/2005 season.

 

Previous to the clubs creation, the Whittlesea City Athletics Centre had five clubs; these clubs have been associated with Whittlesea City Little Athletics Centre for over 20 years.

 

In our first season of 2004/2005 we became the sixth associated club of Whittlesea City Little Athletics Centre and had 70 registered athletes. From our first season we have continued to grow to over 100 athletes.

 

It is hoped that by sharing our clubs history, along with other information about the club, you as members of our club will be more understanding to the needs of volunteer non profit clubs such as ours.
