Metro Registration Day – Sausage Sizzle
Date: Saturday 4th September, 2010 Time: 10am to 1pm Place: Meadowglen International Stadium, McDonalds Rd, Epping.
IMPORTANT Please ensure that you bring along the birth certificate for any new child you may be registering. Unfortunately we cannot accept New Registrations until WCLAC Open Day the following weekend 12th September 2010.

Fees – Payable on registration – Cash or Cheque ONLY Credit Card/Eftpos NOT available
1st Child : $98.00. (Fees include insurance, registration, family levy and WCLAC Handbook) Additional Child: $85.00. Singlet’s: $30.00
Please also remember that subs of $3.00 are payable for each athlete every day of competition.

INTRODUCTION TO COACHING COURSES VLAA will once again be holding “Introduction to coaching courses”. There will be one held at our centre amongst other venues. The course runs from 8.00 am to 5.30pm day and basically gives parents an over view on how to coach and chief events; it can come in handy if you want to coach your child the right way. We are inviting all families to attend, the cost of the course is $99.00, and must be paid for by families. For those of you who wish to take the course with the aim of assisting on training nights or on competition days, Metro will reimburse you ˝ the funds at the beginning of the season. If you then help out and training on a regular basis the club will reimburse you the balance at the end of the season. In previous years the club has paid the full amount with parents giving us assurance that they will help out, however this has not eventuated on a few occasions and the club is out of pocket. If you would like to attend please contact Club Secretary, Leeanne Venables for an application form. Please bring this with you on registration day along with full payment as forms need be in a week before the course.

PARENTAL ASSISTANCE We will be requiring the assistance of all parents to help out on competition days. As you know the club is designated duties that they must attend to each and every competition day, without parental assistance there will be no competition. We have decided as a committee that this season failure to assist when required will result in your child / Children losing points. A register will be kept of helpers and point loss will be determined by the Committee at the end of the season. We ask that you take this on board as it could result in your child / children losing a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place getting or receiving a participation trophy. This was a very hard decision and was not made lightly, we have always said that the kids should not suffer as a result of their parents actions, however the lack of support and added pressure on the committee members (who also have kids competing) have made it necessary to take this action.
Also if any family members are interested in doing team managing or being a chief at any of our events please let Lauren Miller - President know ASAP.
REBEL SPORT Lastly MVP card for Rebel Sport will be available on Registration Day, they can be used at any store. Upon presentation of the card you receive a 5% discount on your purchase and the club receives points, which can be redeemed to purchase equipment etc. We urge you to use these cards on behalf of the club when you go to Rebel.
